Secret Project rEVOLution
Starred mainly by Madonna and her MDNA Tour dancers and shot by Steven Klein in four days, the Secret Project Revolution is an ambition way to conquer attention at a very serious matter: injustice. The beautifully shot black and white 17 minute short film has no story at all, but it’s still amazing.
Madonna narrates it using some line written by her specifically for the film and some taken from her MDNA Tour concerts. The message is clear, tolerance is needed in order to progress. “History is repeating itself”, she says, “Don’t you see a pattern here?” Do you? Do you know what she’s talking about? No? Maybe Adolf Hitler and Marine LePen, for instance. Perhaps Putin and Mussolini?
Always a freedom fighter, she beautifully crafted and distributed this film partnering with Vice Magazine and BitTorrent, but I don’t think it’ll reach a lot of audiences, mostly her fans. I’m waiting for some criticism from people, I really am. I also proud of her. Our Madonna is not gone at all, she is just tutoring her kids.
